The novel techniques and innovative ideas are being introduced in biological and life sciences. The emerging technologies of microbiology, biotechnology and molecular biology has surprisingly changed the overall quality of life and pattern of living. Similarly, the dynamics of society and personal kinetics of people to interact with each other has evolved in a more customized fashion. The first gene therapy was initiated and clinically trialed in the early 1990’s which was impeded by severe side effects. The gene therapy and experimental medicines were further developed to introduce the sophisticated tools of gene transfer to improved safety and efficacy. Moreover, the molecular and cellular mechanisms and/or vector-associated setbacks were noticed in experiments. So, the highly efficient gene targeting strategies and site-directed gene editing technologies were developed. The gene therapy was moved from a vision to clinical reality after ≤1900 clinical trials. That was trialed to treatment and correction of inherited diseases. Certain limitations and drawbacks were also encountered in early clinical trials. However, the gene therapy was revived as a powerful treatment option for the correction of monogenic disorders. Thus, the emerging technologies of microbiology, biotechnology and molecular biology should potentially be elaborated on under the revelation of the Holy Qur’an which will rationalize the ethical and philosophical interpretation of all new inventions.
